The Undergraduate Study Program of the Department of Naval Architecture at the University of West Attica (UNIWA) has a duration of five years and corresponds to 300 ECTS credits.
Graduates of the Department are eligible to register with the Technical Chamber of Greece (TCG), upon application and successful participation in the relevant examinations. Upon registration, they acquire the professional rights of Naval Architects, in accordance with Presidential Decree 99 (Government Official Journal- FEK 187/5.11.2018).

- Accreditation of the Department of Naval Architecture of UNIWA with the highest distinction (12 “A” grades in 12 thematic areas), valid from 12.06.2023 to 12.06.2028 (Accreditation Decision 35913/27.06.2023 by the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education).
- Equivalence of the Department of Naval Architecture of the School of Engineering at UNIWA with a Department of Polytechnic School of Higher Education Institution in Greece (Government Official Journal-FEK 6399/B’/21.11.2024).
- Decision for the establishment of the Polytechnic School of UNIWA, which includes the Department of Naval Architecture (Government Official Journal-FEK 2465/B’/20.05.2025).
- Decision No. A80/Σ18/2025 of the Governing Committee of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TCG), recognizing the degrees awarded to graduates of the Department of Naval Architecture of the Polytechnic School of UNIWA as academically and professionally equivalent, to the degrees of Polytechnic Graduates, for their registration in the TCG Members Register, from the year of establishment and operation of the Department (applies also to graduates who have completed a ten-semester study program).
